So I'm sitting at home in my Scooby Doo PJs, watching a rerun of the Golden Girls with my treasured pooch, Joshy, when a peculiar offer comes my way from this local vet (who we'll call "The Local Vet.")
This vet figures my blog, which reaches 4 people in the metropolitan NYC area, is the perfect venue to get his fledgling business out there. The vet suggests if I promote his dying practice, he'll gladly provide my readers' pets with free checkups.
As if there weren't a catch.
As if this vet didn't have an ulteriour motive.
Sorry vet, but don't look to me for help.

How'd You Score That Gig?
David Vinjamuri's review of Alexandra Levit's book 'How'd You Score That Gig' endorses a blue-sky approach to the great question of 'what am I going to do with my life?'
Based on bucketing your personality type, according to :
Adventurer, Creator, Data Head, Entrepreneur, Investigator, Networker and Nurturer
How exactly is that supposed to give guidance for people? I read her book and came out as a 'Nurturer' and my take-away from that was that I should be a professional dog walker.
Not exactly the professional inspiration I was hoping for.

Dog and the City

There are a few sites we love - no pooch can go without its own white glove taxi service in NYC
And a great resource to find all the hottest puppy salons
my latest favorite is Furry Paws with 5 locations in Manhattan
Meet my dog, Joshy
